Sound Technician

We will be taking this fresh approach to entertainment aboard this amazing new vessel with the aim of providing unique memories for guests, as well as designing an experience that is unrivalled in the industry.

In order to achieve this we are looking for a special team of technicians, with not only the raw talent but also the personality, passion and character to join the team in setting new standards for guests.

POSITION SUMMARIES 

We are looking for dedicated and proactive technicians that have the ability to operate, manage and be responsible for Entertainment technical services onboard the vessel.

​

Good managerial, time management and people skills are a must, as well as experience working with guests, musicians needs and hold an understanding of a service lead industry and cruising.

​

You will be responsible for all Entertainment equipment and operation onboard, including controlling sound levels, creating playlists, working with resident entertainment as well as guest entertainers and events. 

​

Experience with changing setups, maintenance and working as part of a team is essential.

SOUND TECHNICIAN     

​

PERFORMANCE AND CONTRACT REQUIREMENTS

​

• To take full responsibility of the Entertainment Technical operations onboard

• Familiarity an Operational experience with Q-LAB and/or Q-SYS

• Solid experience operating various Mixers & Sound and Control Systems

• Lead and conduct all sound checks

• Create sound equipment setup drawings (for events onboard or at port as required)

• Create, update and manage sound equipment inventory lists

• Manage sound equipment servicing and maintenance plans

• Setup all venues prior to first performances of the day

• Mix audio and control sound levels as required

• Train Musicians and Entertainment Ambassadors on system and equipment operation

• Troubleshoot and rectify sound and equipment issues

• Liaise with external vendors under the guidance of the onboard management should repairs or additional equipment be required

• Work with onboard technical and electrical teams and engineers as required

• Attend any and all training, meetings, classes or course as required

• Develop hand-over notes at the end of each contract

• Executes other Entertainment related tasks as requested by the Entertainment Ambassador

• Be fluent in written and spoken English and pass an English language test

• Conduct their work in accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA).

ONBOARD DUTIES

• The Sound Technicians will join the onboard team

• To be Guest Facing and adhere to the schedules, requirements and hours

• Execute other Entertainment related tasks as requested

• Take responsibility for all Entertainment Technical requirements and maintain quality
